Wikinvest, a Wikipedia for investing, launches its mobile initiative with its iPhone app going live tomorrow 9 a.m. As brokerages and the finance industry in general are notoriously late to the mobile and Internet game, the Wikivest app will be a boon for people looking for easy access to the latest crowdsourced investment info.
The Wikinvest app will be the first iPhone app that pulls in user-generated information about stocks as well as aggregating information from a user’s brokerage and investment accounts. Aside from portfolio specific content, the app will provide market data, quotes charts, news, currency info, etc. It will also aggregate 100 different international exchanges for those left out of apps that only incorporate exchanges in US.![]()
